Mater Academy Charter got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Tello out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tello scored 15 or more points. Ethan Davis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Doral Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mater Academy Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Doral Academy couldn't quite finish off Mater Academy Charter when the teams last played back in February of 2021 and fell 55-53. Thankfully for Doral Academy, Ryan Sanchez (who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
