Tippecanoe is 9-1 against Troy since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Tippecanoe Red Devils will be playing at home against the Troy Trojans at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Tippecanoe is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Troy in Ohio (Tippecanoe is ranked 238th, while Troy is ranked 556th).
Last Wednesday, Tippecanoe beat Butler 37-30. The win was just what Tippecanoe needed coming off of a 51-27 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Troy came up short against Sidney on Saturday and fell 40-29. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Troy in their matchups with Sidney: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Troy had strong showings from Riley King, who scored 11 points along with three steals, and Carmen Brooks, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season.
Troy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Tippecanoe pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Troy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Tippecanoe strolled past Troy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 53-37. Does Tippecanoe have another victory up their sleeve, or will Troy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
