The Fannindel Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Trinidad Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fannindel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 153 points over their last three matches.
Fannindel pushed their score all the way to 36 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 53-36 to Apple Springs.
Despite the loss, Fannindel had strong showings from Kazion Dugan, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Ke'monte D cuba, who gained 140 total yards and three touchdowns. Dugan is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Trinidad's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-7 loss at the hands of Oakwood. Having soared to a lofty 76 points in the game before, Trinidad couldn't push the score so high this time.
The losses dropped Fannindel to 4-3 and Trinidad to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Fannindel against Trinidad when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 57-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fannindel since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
