The Calvert Senecas are taking a road trip to challenge the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Calvert will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
While Calvert's victory against Lakota wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Senecas won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 10-9.

Addie Endicott was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Gracie Miller was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, St. Joseph Central Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Danbury by a score of 5-4.
Stella Thomas put in work while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Avery Naderer was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Calvert pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Calvert hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .404. However, it's not like St. Joseph Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .368. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Calvert suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to St. Joseph Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Senecas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
