The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds extended their postseason success on Friday against the Eau Gallie Commodores. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Commodores 70-34 on the road. Lincoln Park Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 21 points or more this season.
Lincoln Park Academy found their leader in underclassman Olivia Titherington, who scored 26 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Ball, who scored 21 points.
Eau Gallie's loss came despite strong showings from Alayna Lherisse and Avi Johnson. Lherisse scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Johnson scored six points along with six rebounds. That was a full 38.2% of Eau Gallie's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lincoln Park Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season. As for Eau Gallie, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
Lincoln Park Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Suncoast at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Lincoln Park Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Suncoast likes a good challenge. Eau Gallie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
