Make it eight blowout wins for the Ravenswood Red Devils this season. They breezed by Southern on the road to the tune of 63-35. Given Ravenswood's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in West Virginia, while Southern is ranked 676th in Ohio), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Hadleigh McGoskey, who scored 26 points. Brooklyn Adams was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Ravenswood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Southern, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will take on Parkersburg Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Trimble at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
