The Nogales Nobles will take on the Duarte Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Nogales will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Thursday, Nogales came up short against Azusa and fell 17-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (13), the Nobles still had to take the loss.

04/15/25 @ Baldwin Park | 4 |
04/10/25 vs Garey | 2 |
Dezzy Torres made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Elisabeth Jimenez-Carrillo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Duarte got the win against Baldwin Park on Thursday by a conclusive 20-4. Considering the Falcons have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Allison Michels made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Michels was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Alyssa Garcia looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Duarte got a massive performance out of Crystal Moran, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Emily Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Duarte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Duarte has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Nogales, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Nogales hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Duarte struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Nogales suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Duarte in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Nobles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
