Rivera came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum.  In other batting news,  Enrique Rey and  Marcos Guerrero did most of the damage at the plate:  Rey  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2, while  Guerrero  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  Rey a new career-high in  doubles (two). Another player making a difference was  Jesus Sanchez, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Rivera was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matchups.
Rivera pushed their record up to 15-4 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mercedes,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Rivera will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
