This season hasn't been kind to the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were the victim of a rough 59-35 defeat at the hands of Barrington on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Juanita Sanchez Complex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Eagles are ranked sixth).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Barrington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isys Dunphy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Dunphy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Janaya Prince - baquero, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals.
Juanita Sanchez Complex's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Barrington, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cranston West the next time they take the court. Barrington will head out to face Cranston West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Juanita Sanchez Complex will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
