The Centerpoint Knights entered their tilt with the Mountain Pine Red Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Centerpoint had just enough and edged Mountain Pine out 35-33.
Alyssa Hewitt was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Centerpoint's points.
Centerpoint's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Mountain Pine, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.
Centerpoint and Glen Rose will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Glen Rose will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Centerpoint is ranked 37th). Mountain Pine and Magnet Cove will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Magnet Cove comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
