Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Hayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Hayfield struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton came out on top in a nail-biter against Hayfield when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
