Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Flint River Academy on the road against Skipstone Academy on Monday as the team secured a 43-9 victory.
Flint River Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Melvin out in front who scored 12 points along with nine steals. Another player making a difference was Mylie Meadows, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Flint River Academy, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Trinity Christian School of Griffin have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 31.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Flint River Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 42 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
