The Wilmot Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 54-43 to Antioch.
Antioch found their leader in underclassman Heidi Rathmann, who scored 29 points. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Rathmann has scored at least 25% of Antioch's points. Another player making a difference was Addison Webb, who scored seven points.
Wilmot bumped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Antioch, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilmot won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Elkhorn at 5:30 p.m. on January 11th. Elkhorn will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Antioch's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wauconda at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
