After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Father Lopez, the Pine Ridge Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 56-29 victory over Trinity Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pine Ridge has posted yet this season.
Serenity Cressor was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 23 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Brooke Murray was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six steals.
Kaylin Spor and Haylee Morelli certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Spor scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Morelli scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That was a full 48.3% of Trinity Christian Academy's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pine Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Pine Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spruce Creek at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. Spruce Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine Ridge in Florida (Spruce Creek is ranked 38th, while Pine Ridge is ranked 466th). As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against City of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
