The Perry Central Commodores can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over Crawford County. That's another feather in the cap for Perry Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Crawford County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Seibert, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Nash Stroud was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Perry Central's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Crawford County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry Central will square off against Northeast Dubois at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Crawford County, they will head out on the road to take on North Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Harrison is coming into the matchup with eight straight losses at home, meaning Crawford County will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
