The Platte Valley Broncos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wellington 88-37 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Platte Valley has managed all season.
Braylon Edstrom was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Regan Edstrom, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Luke Moore and Michael McNearny certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Moore scored 11 points, while McNearny scored six points along with five rebounds.
Platte Valley's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Wellington, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Platte Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estes Park at 7:00 p.m. As for Wellington, they will head out on the road to take on Frontier Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frontier Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
