The Parkland Trojans will challenge the Whitehall Zephyrs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Parkland is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against William Allen on Wednesday as they made off with a 20-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Addison Fritzinger looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Scerena Reed was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Anna Belletieri was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Whitehall waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Huskies.
The team relied heavily on Nya Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Whitehall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Whitehall's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Parkland, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Parkland couldn't quite get it done against Whitehall when the teams last played back in March as they fell 13-10. Will the Trojans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
