It was a good run, but the Washington Blue Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 66-45 loss at the hands of Bishop Ready. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington has scored all season.
Several Blue Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Wall, who scored nine points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Haithcock, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Bishop Ready, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Washington will be playing at home against Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Ready won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Shawnee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Bishop Ready is ranked 50th).
