On Monday, Harrison County was the victim of a tough 54-30 loss at the hands of Bluegrass United. While losing is never fun, Harrison County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Bluegrass United is ranked 108th).
Leading Bluegrass United to victory were Allie McGuire and Piper Graham. McGuire scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Graham scored eight points along with nine assists and nine steals. The match was McGuire's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Milbrey Ann Coffman, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Harrison County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bluegrass United, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Harrison County will be playing at home against Madison Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bluegrass United is on the road again on Thursday and play against Garrard County at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
