Johnson Came Up Big in Falls City's 51-0 Win
Starting off the list is Falls City's Braylon Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Johnson rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 47 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
Johnson and Falls City will face off against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will pit Johnson up against the Wildcats' star QB Brody Metting. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Yorktown Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Brody Metting
Yorktown picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Brody Metting. Louise had no answer to Metting as he rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. Metting has been hot recently, having posted three or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
Yorktown's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Metting and Yorktown will head out on the road to challenge Falls City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Wadsworth posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 171 yards.

Matthew Olguin Delivers Best Performance of Season
Matthew Olguin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Yorktown to the win on Friday. Olguin picked up 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (15) he has had since back in September of 2023.
For the year, Olguin has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 28.5 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 1.25 receiving yards per game.
