Acton-Boxborough has struggled against Wachusett Regional recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Acton-Boxborough lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shannon Patrick. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Patrick is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Sophia Shumilova was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Acton-Boxborough's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Wachusett Regional, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
