BRENHAM, Texas -
Brenham (Texas) snapped the nine-game winning streak of Calhoun (Port Lavaca, Texas), with a 56-21 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
James Homan in the first quarter, the Cubs were up 34-14 at the half.
Brenham expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
With the win the Cubs extended their winning streak to 14 games. Brenham defeated George Ranch 35-6 last week.
The defeat comes as a step back for Calhoun, who notched a 46-22 victory over Alamo Heights in its previous outing.
