Knob Noster has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Boonville Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Knob Noster came up short against Holden and fell 27-16.
Meanwhile, even though Eldon scored an imposing 41 points on Friday, Boonville still came out on top. Boonville enjoyed a cozy 56-41 victory over Eldon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Boonville.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dakota Troost, who rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Evan Bishop was another key contributor, throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.
Knob Noster's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Boonville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
