In what's become a running theme this season, DePaul Cristo Rey gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 55-28 victory over Community Christian Academy at home. Winning may never get old, but DePaul Cristo Rey sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
DePaul Cristo Rey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jazmin Tubbs, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Tubbs is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Aundrea Dangerfield, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
DePaul Cristo Rey pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Community Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul Cristo Rey won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Shroder Paideia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Shroder Paideia Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. Community Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richmond HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
