The Northwestern Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. The game between Northwestern and Conneaut wasn't particularly close, with Northwestern falling 70-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Chance Loomis was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Conneaut's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hamm, who scored 8 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Conneaut, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Northwestern will head out on the road to face off against General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. General McLane knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Northwestern likes a good challenge. As for Conneaut, they will play host again and welcome St. John, where tip off is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
