The Gregori Jaguars were the 66-64 winner over the Bear Creek Bruins when they last played one another back in November of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Gregori took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear Creek.
Despite the loss, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Jayson Powers dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Powers' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dru Shafer, who scored 15 points.
Gregori's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bear Creek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Gregori is on the road again on Tuesday and play against El Capitan at 3:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Bear Creek, they will challenge Manteca at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Manteca is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
