The Rock Hills Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rock Hills in their matchups with Lincoln: they've now lost four in a row.
Rock Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper McDill, who scored 15 points. That was a full 38.5% of Rock Hills' points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cam Ward, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Rock Hills were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Rock Hills bumped their record down to 2-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Rock Hills will head out on the road to square off against Lawrence-Nelson on Monday. Lawrence-Nelson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m.
