Wapello will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against West Branch at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Wapello, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Wapello had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Louisa-Muscatine with a 34-28 win.
Meanwhile, West Branch took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against West Liberty last Friday as they made off with a 32-6 victory.
Their wins bumped West Branch to 1-0 and Wapello to 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Watch the game and check back in with MaxPreps for details.
