Caleb McLaughlin put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April on Monday. He struck out three batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

McLaughlin's effort led Wheeler over Lake Station Edison and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats are a perfect 10-0 against the Fighting Eagles going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
