Rolesville and Knightdale are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Rolesville Rams will welcome the Knightdale Knights at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rolesville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
Rolesville will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Wakefield, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Rolesville walked away with a 59-49 victory over Wakefield on Friday.

Rolesville relied on the efforts of Anthony Roberts, Jr, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards, and Marquis Bryant, who went 6 of 10 en route to 17 points. The contest was Roberts, Jr's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cannon Marshall, who posted nine points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Knightdale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the Cougars. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Cougars are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Knightdale's win came from a few key players Rolesville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Isaiah Green, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 44 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Williams, who earned 17 points along with eight boards and three steals.
Knightdale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Rolesville, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Tuesday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Caiden Jenkins and Green. Jenkins has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 17.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. For his part, Green has averaged 17.7 points, 4.8 steals, and 3.3 assists.
Rolesville came up short against Knightdale in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 49-40. Can Rolesville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
