Basketball Recap: High Tech SD Skates Past Logan Memorial Education Campus with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clairemont, High Tech SD was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 53-14 victory over the Logan Memorial Education Campus Eagles. The win was some much needed relief for the Storm as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead High Tech SD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Gonzalez, who posted 12 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Sebastian Blackaller, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

High Tech SD smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

High Tech SD's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Logan Memorial Education Campus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will square off against Morse at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Logan Memorial Education Campus, they will take on Crawford at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crawford has three straight wins, Logan Memorial Education Campus has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
