It was a good run, but the Carson Colts unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Rancho Dominguez by a score of 64-61. Carson has struggled against the Lobos recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Carson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacob Ortega, who scored 21 points, and Ezekiel Harry who scored 19 points. Ortega has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Latrell Cannon, who scored eight points.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Rancho Dominguez, they pushed their record up to 10-16 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Carson will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Dominguez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
