Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Effingham County). They managed  a  63-59 win over the South Effingham Mustangs  on Wednesday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rebels as it put an end to their 17-game losing streak.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Effingham County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kyjana Jordan, who  posted 18  points. Jordan has been hot recently, having  posted 18 or more points the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nakera M Hawkins, who  had 14  points.
 When it comes to explaining why South Effingham lost, don't look at  Hayden Johanson. Despite the final result, she  dropped  a double-double on 29 points and ten  rebounds. Those 29  points gave  Johanson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kailyn Chapman, who  put up ten points and six  assists.
Effingham County's win  ended  a  ten-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-18. As for South Effingham, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost 12 of their last 13 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Effingham County will head out to  face off against Greenbrier  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for South Effingham, they will venture away from home to  challenge Statesboro  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
