The Xavier College Prep Gators came out on top against the Valley Vista Monsoon by a score of 55-48 on Tuesday thanks in part to Guiamatsia, who went 10 for 17 en route to 23 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.
Xavier College Prep's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Valley Vista, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Xavier College Prep will challenge Desert Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
