Buford is a perfect 3-0 against Collins Hill since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolves will head out to square off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Buford comes in on five and Collins Hill on four.
Buford is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Discovery, posting a 71-7 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Buford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dayton Raiola, who threw for 93 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. What's more, Raiola racked up 165.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Keshon B Low was in the mix too, providing Buford with two TDs.
Buford's run defense was locked in: Discovery could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. While six picked up at least four total tackles, Dre Quinn stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made four total tackles (2.0 for loss). Buford didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.4.
Buford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braylon Williams and Silas Nuckles.
Meanwhile, Collins Hill got themselves on the board against Mountain View on Friday, but Mountain View never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bears 48-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Bears are ranked 239th).
Buford better keep an eye on Makyree Cross. He was instrumental in Collins Hill's win, throwing for 298 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punching in one score on the ground. Cross' passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Jeremiah Marshall was another key player, picking up 49 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Collins Hill's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Deuce Geralds was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Buford's record now sits at 5-0. As for Collins Hill, their record is now 4-2.
Everything came up roses for Buford against Collins Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 34-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
