In what's become a running theme this season, the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They really took it to Providence Prep for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-18 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Valor Preparatory Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Valor Preparatory Academy found their leader in underclassman Elyse Mason, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mason has scored at least a third of Valor Preparatory Academy's points. Ellie Buck was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Sarah Vernon and Lainie Illian certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Vernon dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Illian scored a point along with five rebounds. Vernon hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Valor Preparatory Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Providence Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Valor Preparatory Academy will be playing at home against Harmony School of Innovation at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harmony School of Innovation is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Providence Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Methodist Children's Home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
