The Wheatland Bulldogs were the 56-46 winners over the Rawlins Outlaws when they previously met in January. This past Saturday? They had no such luck. Wheatland was just a three-ball short of a win and fell 54-52 to Rawlins. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
The Bulldogs' defeat pushed them down to 16-3. The victory makes it two in a row for Rawlins and bumps their record up to 13-6.
The Bulldogs will take on Burns on Friday. Burns also suffered a recent loss, falling 71-34 to Torrington this past Saturday. Rawlins has the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome Douglas Monday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, the Outlaws have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one.
