The Bainbridge Bearcats pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cairo. Powell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jykortnee Brown, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bainbridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Thomas County Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Cairo won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Spencer at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th.
