Fox Tech is 0-6 against La Vernia since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Fox Tech Buffaloes will be staying on the road to face off against the La Vernia Bears at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Fox Tech scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over San Antonio Memorial. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fox Tech has posted since December 8, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fox Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Timothy Morgan, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaryon Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, La Vernia put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by John F. Kennedy at home to the tune of 71-42. La Vernia has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Fox Tech has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-16 record this season. As for La Vernia, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-0.
Fox Tech took a serious blow against La Vernia when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 71-44. Thankfully for Fox Tech, Ryan Bellino (who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
