Box Elder is 0-10 against Bountiful since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Box Elder Bees will welcome the Bountiful RedHawks at 12:30 p.m. Bountiful took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Box Elder, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, Box Elder turned things around against Bear River last Friday. They secured a 51-47 W over the Bears. The Bees' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Box Elder to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Nelson, who posted seven points along with seven boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Nelson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Vranes, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Bountiful faced Snow Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. Bountiful fell 62-54 to Snow Canyon. It was the first time this season that the RedHawks let down their fans at home.
Box Elder will need focus on slowing down Taylor Harvey, one of several Bountiful players who made an impact when they last played. She had 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Harvey is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maleah Nelson, who put up 12 points.
Even though they lost, Bountiful was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Box Elder's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Bountiful, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Box Elder has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Bountiful struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
