Ashtyn Bradley made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Newberry, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March. Mallory Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Walnut Ridge lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Harrisburg came up short against Hoxie on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.
Addy Biggs was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Mross, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Walnut Ridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Harrisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
