On Thursday, Sunnybrook Christian suffered a rough 45-20 defeat at the hands of the Hoplites.
Founders Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lilly Hammond led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Hammond is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Savannah Whyle, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Sunnybrook Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Founders Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnybrook Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
