The Fayetteville Academy Eagles lost against the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fayetteville Academy took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrells Christian Academy.
Fayetteville Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Riley Duchon, who scored 23 points. That was a full 54.8% of Fayetteville Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Polly Miller, who scored 13 points.
Fayetteville Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Harrells Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayetteville Academy will challenge Kerr-Vance Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Southeastern Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 47 last Thursday.
