Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walton). They walked away with a 70-57 victory over the Freeport Bulldogs on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-46 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Freeport still got an impressive performance from Julius Miles, who posted 26 points and six rebounds. Miles is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Matthew Perkins was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Walton back to even at 7-7. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Walton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-35 defeat against Bay on the 7th. As for Freeport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-50 victory against Altha on the 7th.
