Despite the defeat, Asheboro Hybrid Academy had strong showings from Autumn Voncannon, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds, and Jacie Whitt, who scored 3 points along with 5 rebounds. Voncannon is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Millers Creek Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Millers Creek Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.8 rebounds per game.
