After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Emery, the Uintah Utes were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Manti by a score of 39-27. For Uintah, this counts as revenge for the 42-36 loss Manti walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Uintah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charlee Gilroy, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Gilroy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie White, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Manti had strong showings from Emmie Bollar, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals, and Cadee Alder, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
The win got Uintah back to even at 2-2. As for Manti, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Uintah won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fruita Monument at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Manti will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Union at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd.
