The Manville Mustangs lost to the Dunellen Destroyers back in December of 2014, but the Manville Mustangs didn't allow the Dunellen Destroyers the same satisfaction on Friday. Manville came out on top against Dunellen by a score of 44-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manville.
Despite the loss, Dunellen still got an impressive performance from Joel Cruz, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of William Ghanim, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Manville's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Dunellen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manville will challenge South Hunterdon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dunellen, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
