Bishop McNamara never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wheaton Academy Warriors with a sharp 22-0 win. That looming 22-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fightin' Irish yet this season.

Teagan McCue was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Bridget Bertrand also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bishop McNamara kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matchups.

Bishop McNamara is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Wheaton Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Bishop McNamara will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
