The Westview Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Garrett Railroaders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
Westview had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Angola on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Hornets. That 15-run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.
Brynn Bontrager and Janissa Lehman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bontrager pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Lehman pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Bontrager has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Bontrager went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Lehman went 2-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.

| 04/30/26 @ Fremont | 1 |

In other batting news, Westview got a massive performance out of Alexis Diehl, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Diehl a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Breanna Garrett, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Westview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Angola only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, Garrett had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 5-0 shutout.
Not much got past Ashlee Vanderbosch, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Fremont off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayiden Feicht, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Megan Fox also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Westview's record is now 8-3. As for Garrett, their record now sits at 14-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Westview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Garrett struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Westview suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Garrett when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
