While losing is never fun, Timberlake Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while Lynchburg HomeSchool is ranked 144th).
When it comes to explaining why Timberlake Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sawyer Epps. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Woo Kang, who scored seven points.
Timberlake Christian's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Timberlake Christian will be playing at home against Regents at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Regents focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Stuart Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
